Custom hover lets you choose which fields appear in the hover tooltip on Calendar exam tiles, so the details you care about are one hover away. Configure it in Settings > Custom hover. It applies to the examination hover tooltip; the gap, operating-hours, reserved-block, and event tooltips use fixed layouts.
Access and permissions
Open Settings > Custom hover. Your hovers are personal to your account — they don’t affect other users.
Building a hover
A hover is a named set of fields. Add one with + Add hover, then:
Add fields from the catalog with their checkboxes; use the search box to find a field by name.
Drag to reorder the selected fields — top-to-bottom here is the order they appear in the tooltip.
Remove a field with its checkbox or the trash icon.
A hover can hold up to 15 fields; once you reach 15, the remaining checkboxes are disabled until you remove one. The same limit applies when you edit a hover from the Calendar. Fewer fields make for a tooltip that is quicker to read. Hover names must be unique. Fields are grouped into Examination, Appointment, Clinical Order, Scheduled Procedure, Radiology Report, Staff and Patient. Examination also lists your site's protocol fields. The picker lists them all — some may be blank if your site doesn’t receive that source data.

Default hover and switching
You can keep several hovers and mark one as your default with Select as default hover; the Calendar uses it on load. From a Calendar exam tooltip you can switch the active hover for your current session without changing the default, and make quick field edits inline via the pencil icon. A blue dot on the hover-switcher icon flags unsaved edits. You can also switch hovers under Calendar Display Settings › Mouse hover.
When changes take effect
Changes apply when you select Save changes (or Save as new hover to keep them as a separate hover); the Calendar refreshes and new tooltips reflect the update. Delete hover is unavailable for your default hover and for your last remaining hover.
