The Settings area is where you tailor Quantivly to the way you work and, if you are an administrator, configure options that apply across your organization. Open it from Settings in the left-hand navigation.
Personal and Global settings
Settings are organized into two scopes, shown as a toggle at the top of the page:
Personal: customizations that only apply to your own account. Other users are not affected.
Global: configurations that apply to every user in your organization. Only administrators can change these; everyone else sees them as read-only (marked View only).
Use the dropdown to switch between the two. You will only see a scope if it contains at least one setting you are allowed to view.
What you can configure
Setting | Scope | What it does |
|---|---|---|
General settings | Personal | Set your default landing page (the screen shown when you open Quantivly, such as Home or the Calendar) and your default color strategy for the Calendar. |
Custom hover | Personal | Choose which fields appear when you hover over an exam on the Calendar. See Custom hover. |
Buffer time | Global | Define the buffer time added around exam durations. See Exam Buffer. |
Color configuration | Global | Define how exams are color-coded on the Calendar. See Calendar color coding. |
Who can change each setting
Personal settings (General settings, Custom hover): every user manages their own, and changes never affect anyone else.
Global settings (Buffer time, Color configuration): everyone can view the current configuration, but only administrators can change it. Non-administrators see a read-only view.
Managing annotations
Operating hours, exceptions, reserved blocks, event groups, and annotation labels are managed on the dedicated Annotations page, reached from Explore > Annotations (older Settings > Annotations links redirect there automatically). See Annotation labels and Calendar annotations: operating hours & events.
