Settings › Fiscal planning holds the definition of your organization's fiscal year and the annual exam-volume goals measured against it. They live on one page because the goal and the calendar it is measured against have to agree.
Open it from Settings, then switch the scope selector to Global. The page is marked beta in the app.
Fiscal calendar
How your organization's fiscal year is defined. Quarters, year-to-date metrics, and reporting periods all align to it.
Field | What it sets |
|---|---|
Fiscal year start | The month your fiscal year begins |
Fiscal year label | Which calendar year names the fiscal year — the Start year or the End year |
A summary line below the fields states the result in full, for example: Your fiscal year runs Oct 1, 2025 → Sep 30, 2026, labeled FY2026.
If your fiscal year doesn't start in January, April, July or October, quarterly views use calendar quarters (Q1 = Jan–Mar) rather than fiscal ones, and the card says so.
This field is managed by Quantivly
The fiscal calendar is read-only for customer accounts, and the card carries a Managed by Quantivly badge saying so. Changing it re-cuts every quarter, year-to-date metric and reporting period your organization has, and re-labels volume targets already stored against a fiscal-year number — so only your Quantivly team can change it.
The summary line ends with the same advice: To change your fiscal calendar, contact your Quantivly team.
Because the field is locked, no Save or Cancel buttons appear on this card for customer accounts.
Fiscal-year date shortcuts
Once your fiscal year is set, the Slot Optimization date picker offers This fiscal year and Previous fiscal year quick ranges that resolve against it rather than against the January–December calendar year. If no fiscal year has been configured, both fall back to a January start.
These two shortcuts are specific to Slot Optimization; the Calendar's date picker has its own set of quick ranges and does not include them.
Volume target
Annual exam-volume goals by modality. These drive the goal line on the Fiscal year volume outlook chart on the Overview page.
Editing volume targets requires the Manage volume targets capability. Without it you see the grid as read-only, behind a view-only banner. See Role capabilities reference.
How the grid works
Pick a modality, then enter a target per fiscal year. The grid offers the current fiscal year and the next one — fiscal years that have already ended are not shown, because nothing reads a target for a closed year. Columns are labelled with the convention set on the Fiscal calendar card above.
Org-wide target — the goal for the whole organization for that fiscal year.
Per-facility rows — appear when you select Show facility breakdown. Use Add facility to bring a site into the grid.
Other facilities — a computed row, marked AUTO. It is the org-wide target minus everything you have allocated to named facilities, so you can see at a glance how much of the org-wide goal is still unassigned.
Targets are whole, non-negative numbers. Leave a cell empty to leave that target unset.
Because Other facilities is a remainder, over-allocating named facilities beyond the org-wide target makes it go negative and turn red — a signal that the parts now exceed the whole, not an error the page blocks.
Select Save when you are done. A confirmation toast reads Volume targets saved.
If the fiscal calendar cannot be confirmed
Volume targets are stored against fiscal-year numbers, so the grid will not show columns for a fiscal year it cannot yet name. While the page is still reading your fiscal calendar, the grid is withheld rather than shown against a guess; it appears as soon as the calendar resolves.
If the fiscal calendar changes while you are editing, unsaved edits are reset and the page tells you so — re-enter the affected cells against the new columns.
Volume before Quantivly
A third card records, for each modality, how much volume your organization did earlier in this fiscal year, before Quantivly started measuring it: the Last day not measured and the Exams in that period.
It exists so the Overview's fiscal-year outlook stays honest for a site that came on board part-way through a fiscal year. Without it, the months before Quantivly had data would read as zero volume and drag the projection down.
Like the fiscal calendar, this card is managed by Quantivly and carries the same badge — it asserts measured history rather than a goal you choose, so it is not a customer setting. You can see the values; to correct them, contact your Quantivly team.
